Etsy is a great marketplace. Since you either have to be selling vintage or handmade products to sell on the platform it can make for a great virtual shopping mall for us retro dolls. If you’re looking for vintage inspired reproduction clothing there’s a lot it has to offer.

Recently I was sent a dress by Etsy seller JJofSweden. Their shop sells dresses in a variety of prints, as well as a wide range of sizes, selling dresses that will fit from a 26 inch waist up to a 47inch waist. If you love florals or polka dots, this seller definitely has something to interest you!

The JJofSweden dresses are priced at the lower end of the reproduction clothing price scale, somewhere between Lindy Bop and Hell Bunny. This dress is their size 2, a M/L, and costs £45.23.  A great thing about JJ’s is that they offer wide plus size options, which is something I’m always a supporter of–not every woman is a size 10, 12 or 14, but every woman does deserve to feel beautiful and to be able to find reasonably priced clothing options in the style she likes.

This dress was really comfortable and easy to wear. I love the white pleats on the bust line and the wide halter straps which tie into a bow behind my neck. It’s something I could very easily throw on for casual hang outs or when I want to look cute while looking after the kids but don’t have time to faff around with clothes. Plus, let’s not ignore the obvious: if I decide to be Minnie Mouse for a costume party all I have to do is get some ears and I am so set!
