Goldie’s Clothing is a Spanish vintage style clothing company based out of Barcelona. Formerly known as Cindy Bangs until earlier this year, they’re been producing handmade men’s and women’s clothing inspired by 1940’s and 1950’s fashions since 2011 and have their own store in Barcelona. This is an exciting year of expansion for the Goldie’s crew and I was thrilled when they offered to send me some pieces for trial so I could review the quality of their pieces for you.
First off I’m showing you the Lauren dress, a classic wiggle dress made in high quality stretch bengaline featuring a sweetheart neckline.
This dress features a pleated back slit and finishes with a back zipper. And it is so damn comfortable, probably the most comfortable wiggle I’ve ever worn. Because the bengaline is high quality and thick, it’s flattering on the curves and gently skims over them, creating a lovely silhouette compared to the clinging and unforgiving nature of cheap low quality bengaline that you may or may not have been scarred by in the past.
The sizing of this dress is accurate to the size chart, with some forgiveness due to the bengaline. I’m wearing the XL, which according to the size charts has a 82cm waist (that’s 32.8inches, and my waist is currently 33 inches) and 106cm hips (42.4inch, my hips are 43inches) and it fit perfectly all over. The neckline was incredibly flattering for my cleavage which balanced out my bottom heavy figured beautifully. Overall, even though I normally feel quite self-conscious in wiggle dresses, this made me feel like a bombshell and I love that it’s such a classic, simple piece that it can be styled to be worn in almost any situation. I could just as easily throw on sunglasses and ballet flats to run errands in this as I can jewellery and heels to style it up for a night out.
The Lauren dress is available in navy, as pictured here, as well as red and white. It’s available in sizes XS-3XL and costs 78Eur. Goldie’s Clothing ships internationally.
Super lovely! I’m digging the contrast of the sassy city like outfit against the country corn fields. 😉

I like the contrast too, but I will be honest and own up to the fact that when we only have two hour window to shoot 4 outfits it makes more sense to do it within walking distance of my house than spending an hour travelling to somewhere urban ❤️

What a hot dress! The neckline is so flattering and sexy, and I love the kick pleat detail as opposed to a back slit. Looks lovely on you, Miss Amy May!!

Thank you! I definitely prefer a kick pleat too, I always worry with a back slit that my shape wear or girdle is going to become visible from odd angles or if a dress starts riding up.
