Last week I featured the gorgeous Lauren wiggle dress from Goldie’s Clothing, classic Spanish repro clothing company. That means this week it’s time to take a look at one of their swing dresses.
Behold the Maria dress, a flared swing dress with a flared full circle skirt and, like the Lauren dress, a superbly flattering sweetheart neckline. It’s sleeveless, has a small gather at the bust, closes with a back zipper, and is designed in such a way that it is seamless at the waist, creating a smooth, elegant transition from bodice to skirt with no waistband to speak of.
Maria comes in several colourways, but in this post I’m wearing the lovely rice dot sheer overlay version to go for a frolic in the golden summer fields–where I made some unexpected new friends you’ll get to see later on in the post.
Dress: Maria in Black Rice Dot Sheer Overlay by Goldie’s Clothing
Petticoat: Jennifer by Malco Modes
Shoes: Bedazzled by me, tutorial here
This dress is just lovely. The rice dot overlay makes this dress both simple and special. It’s understated and classic, so it’s a perfect occasion dress as well as, of course, a wonderful LBD that could very easily be pulled out of your closet at the last minute to achieve a put together look that no one would suspect was anything but planned. I like that the waist has no seams, as it’s the kind of small design detail that most people wouldn’t consciously notice yet it elongates your silhouette. I also liked the fact that the back has an angular neckline similar to the front, rather than it just being plain straight straps in the back. I loved wearing a petticoat under this, because I always do, but it would look just as lovely worn without one, especially for quieter affairs.
I’m wearing the XL which is made for 100cm bust, 82cm waist, and free hips. My own measurements are bust 100cm (39 inches) and waist 84cm (33 inches) and the dress fits beautifully, so it definitely sizes true, with a little stretch in it too.
Overall this is a classic piece, just as Goldie’s designed it to be, and I’m pleased to have it as part of my wardrobe. As mentioned before, this bestseller is available in several colourways: the featured here black with rice dot sheer overlay, plain black, grey with velvet polka dots, navy with white polka dots, royal blue, white with black polka dots, Hawaiian print, and sky blue. The plain, Hawaiian print and polka dot variations are 78EUR, and the overlay black dress is 116EUR but is currently on sale at 92.80EUR. All of these dresses are available in sizes XS to 3XL and Goldie’s Clothing ships internationally.
And now I will leave you with this gallery of my cow friends and I enjoying our time together.

Because there were so many of them once we shooed them away I couldn’t tell if they had come back into shot and how close they had gotten, so I just kept going with poses for a while then I was like ‘oh man, you’re right here, huh? Okay let’s be friends.’ Lol!

I love the cow pictures! Haha! They’re so curious! And this dress looks so fun and swingy; I can’t wait to get back into some of my fit-and-flare dresses after this baby is born. I miss that silhouette!
