Photoshoot Outtakes & Bloopers [Round 3]

I wasn’t joking when I said there were so many photoshoot bloopers from the last calendar year that it would take more than one post to share them all. In today’s gallery you’ll see all the usual categories of awkwardness represented, from WTF Is My Face Doing to Whoops I’m About To Fall, but this time around you’ll see a lot of I Find It Awkward Waiting For The Lighting Settings To Be Tested and the occasional Oh Look At This Weird Thing Growing Over Here. You ready? Let’s go, kiddos!

: We begin with some poor attempts to get a cute mid-air jump shot

: Just, could you not? You can’t do them, Aimz, give up

: Twirling doesn’t necessarily go that well either because sometimes you lose a leg

: And apparently now I’m just going to dance like a crazy

: Given up. Fallen asleep.

: Someone found some nature. In the woods. How clever

: …And she is not impressed by it

: Aaaand now I’ve decided I’m a Disney Princess

: For like the 38th time on a shoot

: Seriously. I was singing songs from Enchanted

: And still singing…

: Oh god, this song never ends

: Is it finally ending? In what appears to be…a sneeze?

: Oh good. Now I’ve found a stick I’m pretending is a wand. Excellent. Big improvement.

: After all that excitement it’s time to have a little rest. Never has anyone ever looked so awkward trying to get into position

: I feel awkward posing when the photographer is just checking the light settings…

: Soooo I do graceful things like this

: And this. Although to be fair, that is an excellent dance move. I picked it up from my 2-year-old niece, so it’s clearly a winner

: Another move from my niece. Because I’m cool like that

: And once again I have fallen immediately asleep on set

: What are you even doing, Maimz?

: As a country girl, I thought maybe I might be able to find a way to get some cute shots with a gate

: I was 100% wrong

: Yep, climbing it. That’s bound to improve the situation

: Oh yeah. Yeah, this is definitely working

: I look great, the dress looks great, what else could I want?

: I mean, I’m not falling off, so that makes it a successful shot, right?

: IT’S NOT WORKING, OKAY? STOP IT. YOU’RE EMBARRASSING US BOTH SO BAD RIGHT NOW OMG

: So after the gate I decided to attempt some jumping shots. You know, because my ideas were working so well that day

: It’s going brilliantly

: Like, 10/10 nailing it

: Maybe sitting in the grass will be cuter?

: ‘Let’s go in the flea market for pics,’ I said. I’m sure I can be trusted to take lots of serious, pretty pictures in there…

: A circle? Sure, better put my face through it

: Genuine excitement because I forgot I was supposed to be modelling and not actually shopping. Obvs I bought it

: So determined to find something that works on the playground

: OK, I’ve just become over-excitable and given up by this point

: ‘Oh, that’s such a pretty dappled lighting area there.’ Yeah, that doesn’t mean it’ll make a good picture to show off the dress though, bruh

: ‘Maybe I’ll look graceful stepping down off the style’…Maybe not

: ‘I love those pictures were the girl is leading you away, can I do that?’ No, no I can’t

: Oh good, it’s time to try twirling again

: And now that I failed at twirling, seemed like an EXCELLENT time to fail at the falling style shot too

: More failed falling. Because if you suck at something once, why not do it again?

: Perfect time to stop to bite off a broken nail, such a good blogger

: I was on outfit 5 that day and had begun to get stir crazy

: Obviously it’s the perfect time to begin dancing

: Straight up not even paying attention to trying to get a usable shot anymore

: Shall I go pose in the doorway of the house that is not ours? Omg shall I?

: Wind lending a super helpful hand, as usual

: Pinup poses happening in real life = never look as good as when they’re being faked

: My older sister, Sarah, who often takes my pictures, trying to shadow puppet into the shot

: She was trying to make a shadow dinosaur so I got the giggles

: And then I went crazy

: Because that is what I’m like

: But then we cuddled so everything was perfect 🙂

OMG I CAN’T! I love you. This is gonna sound creepy, but seeing these make me want to meet you in person and laugh my ass off with you because you just seem so infectiously silly and down to earth. On a side note, the “gracefully stepping off a stump” shot is kinda awesome. I’m digging it!
