A Little Bit of Truffle [Hotter Shoes]

Hotter Shoes are known for their high quality, comfortable shoes, made in a wide range of styles, many of which compliment a vintage inspired wardrobe with ease. They produce most of their products in their factory in Lancashire, England, where they’ve been settled since they were established there in 1959. And for the first time, my tootsies are getting a look at what premium, comfort-driven shoes really feel like!

These dove grey, cream-scallop trimmed Viviene heels aren’t just supremely cute and a great match for a vintage inspired ensemble, but they’re also the most comfortable heels I’ve ever owned. That’s not purely down to the low heel which, obviously, is always more comfortable than a solid 5 inch stiletto, but mostly down to the cushioned sole, the mark of a pair of Hotter shoes that keeps their loyal customers returning pair after pair. I don’t own any other shoes with a cushioned, soft sole, and the difference it makes in a pair of heels is remarkable. No more burning, aching balls of the feet after too many hours balanced on them.

The details of these shoes are just lovely. The low heel and the T-bar strap make it feel right at home amongst my vintage reproduction style shoes, while the cream contrast scallop trim elevates the design to a new level. The soft warm grey colour also makes it a perfect all-year round pair of shoes, as it will mix well with the moodier darker tones of my winter outfits as well as being able to add a neutral soft finish to my brighter spring and summer ensembles, as it has done in these pictures above.

I’m wearing the Viviene in my usual size 7 and they’re a perfect fit, with no pinching or rubbing anywhere across the foot, thank goodness. Just from their first wear I suspect they might be the best made pair of shoes I’ve ever owned, and now I’m wondering if Hotter will become my new go-to for my vintage inspired heels in future.

The Viviene shoes come in UK sizes 3-9 including half sizes, and in standard and extra wide fits. They come in 4 colourways, black, rose gold, navy and cream, and truffle and cream. Hotter have stores all over the UK, and offer international shipping on their website.

  1. Absolutely adorable shoes!!! It can be so difficult to find well made, comfortable shoes that are also gorgeous, but it sounds like Hotter fits the bill! 😀
