This Glamorous Lace print does exactly what it says on the tin, as we in England would say. A black and white print designed to look like delicate lace, it has all the elegant style of lace without the fragility of real lace. The fact that it’s a print also means that while it would be easy to style this dress up for classy evening wear, there’s a slightly more casual feel to it than real lace. This makes it easy to style this dress down, should you wish, to create a more relaxed outfit. I kept that in mind when I styled it for this post, deliberately choosing to show that it can be layered for winter and for casual day wear, depending entirely upon what kind of accessories and footwear you choose to pair it with.

Even for all its timeless style, this dress is incredibly comfortable to wear. It closes with a hidden back zip, and the full swing skirt, perhaps equivalent to 3/4 of a full circle, takes a petticoat beautifully, happy to twirl. Add in the fact that its made in England and this dress is a pure delight.

I asked for this dress in a size 18 and it fits a little more generously than the size chart suggests. The waist flat measures 38 inches with stretch in the fabric to take that measurement to 41 inches, while the bust flat measures 43 inches with stretch to 46 inches. The skirt is 27.5 inches long. Its machine washable at 30c, so no sad dry cleaning bill here.
