Can I be cheeky and ask about how the VV Mabel cardigan compares in sizing to the MAKs? I have chubby upper arms so I thought I was lifelong committed to the MAK cardigans but oh that cable knit looks so snuggly. Also are they about the same cropped length?

I wear the MAK cropped cardigans in the L mostly because I had so many in that size before I gained weight, but technically I’ve tried the XL now and they do fit better in terms of being able to do up nicely over my bust, which I can’t do the with the L’s at my current size.
Comparatively I expected these VV Mabel cardigans to be way less stretchy and generous in sizing but they’re similar. These days I have to wear VV items in the XXL or 1X, but the Mabel cardigans fit me comfortably in the XL. There’s stretch in the knit that means my upper arms arms right, not the seams around my shoulders, and I can even do them up comfortably over my bust and wear them as a sweater. They’re longer than the MAK cropped cardigans, expect them to hit the waistband of a skirt or pair of pants rather than sit just at the waistband of a vintage dress like the MAK do
