Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for sequins. Oh yes, it is time for sequins.
There can’t be a festive party dress series without a little black dress offering, because little black dresses for many ladies are the backbone of the party season. They’re the no-brainer first choice option for feeling glamorous and sexy, chic and classy, slinky and sassy. Add in a healthy dose of sequins and you’ve got a perfect LBD combination. Oh, and did I forget to mention that it’s stretchy? Yeah, it’s stretchy. There we go, now it’s the perfect LBD combo.
It’s the Ava Black Sequin wiggle by Zoe Vine and it’s party time fine.

These shimmering sequins give me life. I love that it’s simple and classy but that the sequins give it such a wet-look disco-tastic party-time feel. It’s a super fun LBD that can work just as well for New Year’s as it can for all your upcoming holiday parties, as well as for every other evening event stretching well beyond that into 2017. And it’s so stretchy that, yes, unbelievably, you can easily wear it for Christmas day and eat half of every item of food in the house and still feel totally comfortable. (Well, in the dress, at least. If you literally do that you’ll probably feel pretty full and bloated, so I wouldn’t suggest you eat that much simply to test out the stretch powers of this dress. Just take my word for it: dis dress got dat stretch.)
The three quarter sleeves are flattering and add precious arm coverage, both for the self-conscious and for a touch of warmth during the most wonderful (but also coldest) time of year. It closes with a concealed back zip and is fully lined in a soft, stretch fabric, with a back slit for ease of wear.
This dress sits a little shorter on me than intended, but that’s because I’m 5 ft 7 and my hip measurements max out the measurements for my size, consequently eating up a lot of the stretch in the length with their rounded greed. For reference for those who won’t be testing its stretch to its very limits, it runs 40 inches from shoulder to hem.
I opted for the size 16/XL in this dress, which according to Zoe Vine’s size charts is for 39 inch busts, 32 inch waists and 41 inch hips. Oh ho ho, I can assure you my body laughs at the mere idea of fitting those measurements, yet the amount of stretch in this dress makes it possible. The bust flat measures 36 inches inches but flat stretches to 46, the waist is 34 inches flat but can stretch to 42, and the hips measure 40 inches flat and flat stretch to 50. This should show you how much wiggle room this wiggle dress has, but do bear in mind, as I said in the paragraph above, that if you use a lot of the stretch to accommodate for your larger areas then you might find this dress comes up shorter on you like it does on me. The one area where the stretch is limited is in the sleeves. The armhole on this size 16 measures 17 inches and the hem of the sleeves measures 11 inches, as the stitching in these areas don’t allow the fabric to stretch.
If you’re a little black dress lady, a glitz and glimmer girl, or a woman who’s just all about any dress that stretches to fit your food, this Ava sequin stunner is for you. If the sequin-factor of the Ava isn’t for you, Zoe Vine offer a selection of other super stretchy, slinky wiggle dresses, as well as a handful of classic and simple flared dresses.

I totally need to get myself a sassy sequined dress so this is one is good to read about! It’s so sassy without being too in-you-face. I love that! I can see it paired with a colorful shoe as well for a pop of color!

It would be awesome with a colourful shoe! Since I literally want to pair every outfit ever with red shoes, and more often than not do, I figured at least some of these outfits in this series should have different shoes, lol
