Look, once upon a time I couldn’t get behind vintage-inspired shoes because a pair of deadly stilettos just felt more fun. Now, though? My god, give me authenticity and comfort or give me death. Thankfully, Hotter is here to save my life and my feet.

If you’re a fan of a vintage shaped shoe the Darcy is for you. With a padded insole and a sturdy, low heel they’re incredibly comfortable for all day wear, while the beautiful glittery strap and vamp detail exude a refined charm. As a rule I’m a sucker for a suede shoe, but in this case the way the suede of the upper contrasts so beautifully with the texture of the metallic straps makes this shoe something truly special.
This all black pair can work with almost any outfit, but I love that up close in sunlight the shimmer on the straps and curved detailing sparkles as a navy blue. The straps buckle at the ankle for a secure fit, so they’ll even work for those of you who love to go out dancing (well…once we’re allowed to go out again, that is.)
All of Hotter’s footwear are made to the highest quality, so they’re an investment both in the health of your feet but also in your wardrobe long-term, as their shoes are designed to last. By now I probably own about 20 pairs of Hotter shoes and they’re all still in the same great condition as the day I first pulled them out of their shoe-box. Annnnd, to be honest, this Darcy is so lovely I’m definitely going to want to add the navy and buttermilk versions to my collection as well.
The Darcy is a similar shape to their Viviene heels, in that they are both t-strap styles with the same heel type and height. I can wear the Viviene’s in either 7 or 7.5 but I tend to opt for the latter, so I asked for the Darcy in 7.5 as well. They size slightly larger than Viviene, so the 7 would have been perfectly comfortable. I’d advise you to stick to your usual size or your smaller size if, like me, you wear 2 different sizes depending on shoe style. The heel height is 45mm.
The Darcy heels come in this classic black colourway, as well as a buttermilk shade with silver detailing, navy with cream detailing, or a blush pink faux snakeskin option.
