There are certain design features that were utilized in mid-century clothing designs that just don’t get the appropriate level of use and adoration today as they should. One such feature is the petal neckline, but my goodness have Miss Candyfloss done it beautiful justice with this teal stunner.

This dress oozes elegance and style even as it offers understated simplicity. That incredible angled neckline and its folding petal bust does all the heavy lifting, serving vintage power in a way that still echoes artfully in our modern world. The sleeves end just above the wrist, giving a dainty flash of skin, fastening with a functioning fabric covered button on the cuff. Meanwhile the pleated, full skirt holds the marvelous secret of hidden pockets–forever hurrah! If you can’t go without a petticoat a medium-full one will fit nicely, but the skirt hangs beautifully all on it’s own. This dress comes with a matching fabric grommet belt which allows you to stick to a monochrome look, should you wish. It is, all in all, a timeless delight, chic and darling.

Miss Candyfloss now provide sizing charts for each product they make on said product’s page, and I can confirm the size chart for this dress is spot on. The waist of my size 2XL flat measures 36.5 inches with stretch to 38.5 inches, while the bust flat measures 46 inches with stretch to 48 inches. Miss Candyfloss always do an excellent job of grading up their sleeves in their plus sizes and that holds true with this dress, with the sleeves measuring 17 inches in circumference around the bicep. The skirt is 27.5 inches long, and this dress closes with a hidden back zip.
