This final piece from Unique Vintage is another holiday classic. The vibrant emerald green, the subtle shimmer, the flattering, fabulous silhouette? It’s a party dress that will stun this holiday season, and for every event you want to rock it to thereafter.

This dress is a sprinkle of holiday joy, to me. The metallic ribbed emerald fabric looks luxe and glamorous, but it floats beautifully, giving the wear an ethereal, dreamlike feeling. The cross-over feature in the front creates a sexy keyhole glimpse before the straps straighten in the back to connect to the back bodice by button, allowing you to wear the straps at the length that best fits you. The full swing skirt can take a medium-full petticoat for a little kick of volume, or lays dreamily without one. Occasion dresses often don’t have pockets, but this beauty does, hell yeah!

This dress feels so special, enough so that that fact isn’t erased by the reality that I won’t be able to wear it this year to celebrate Christmas together with loved ones in the usual way. It might even feel more special because of it. Am I going to be foregoing the hosting of my annual Secret Santa dinner party with me best friends in order to have a multi-way video call with them instead? Yes, of course, but knowing I’ll be chatting with them and attempting to play games over WiFi while wearing this stunning dress will help it feel a bit closer to ‘normal’ than it really will be, given that I usually use that dinner party as an excuse to get as glamorous as my heart desires.

Like the incredible gold sparkly number I reviewed a couple weeks back, this dress isn’t one of Unique Vintage’s own brand items. The sizing is actually very different to their own sizing, but it’s also off from the size chart shown for this product itself, so it’s important you get it right. I have a 46 inch bust, so rather than asking for the 2X that I usually wear in UV I followed the size chart for this dress and asked for the 4X. When it arrived it was far too big on me and I had to take it in by several inches all through the bodice. Before I altered it the waist flat measured 43.5 inches (compared to the size chart’s 41 inches) with stretch to almost 46 inches, while the bust flat measured 48 inches with give to 50 inches. That essentially means this 4X matches the 5X on the size chart, which is the same situation I had with the Rose gold Martina dress. So, while I would happily recommend this dress to anyone who’s fallen in love with it, I suggest you contact UV directly to confirm your correct size before ordering. The skirt is 27 inches long. It closes with a back zipper, and the 3 buttonholes on the end of each shoulder strap allow you to adjust the strap length by 2.5 inches in total.
