Korinna in the Meadow [Miss Candyfloss]

With July right around the corner, there’s a fair bit of summer left still to play out, but sadly it’s the end of Miss Candyfloss’s SS21 season, with all of their newest pretties fully released to the world. It might have been their most patterned spring-summer line yet, but as always with Miss Candyfloss they released plenty of beautiful solid coloured pieces which make for wonderful staples in your wardrobe. This Korrina-Minty is one such piece, a lovely pale sage swing dress that offers simplicity and style in one lightweight summer serving.

Dress: Korinna-Minty dress gifted by Miss Candyfloss
Shawl: Almond Chiffon scarf from eBay
Bag: Vintage
Bangles: Cloud and Coconut bangles by Splendette

This dress is a simple piece but certainly not plain, thanks to its adorable accent shoulder bows and the unusual but gorgeous geometric tucks on the bust. The bodice is beautifully fitted, blossoming out into the full pleated swing skirt, which boasts pockets. Said skirt can easily accommodate a medium-full volume petticoat–I’m only wearing a slim-medium volume one in these pictures. The wide shoulder straps mean you won’t struggle to select the right bra to wear as all bra straps will be covered, while the V-neckline is perfectly modest for those who don’t like anything too low cut. It comes with a thick matching fabric grommet belt to cinch the waist, but there aren’t any belt loops so it won’t look odd if you go belt-free.

This dress is made from a high quality lightweight fabric, so it’s comfortable for hot weather days without feeling flimsy or cheap. As if it ever could, considering Miss Candyfloss produce only top quality pieces, all designed and made in Europe.

I almost always wear a 2XL in Miss Candyfloss, so reliably so that I typically don’t bother to check the size charts before I order. Like the Mona-Rose dress which I reviewed a few weeks back, however, the Korrina-Minty sizes a little smaller than usual, so I followed the size chart to size up into the 3XL for my bust, a necessary change as the 2XL certainly wouldn’t have zipped over it. My dress flat measures 45 inches flat across the bust with stretch to almost 48 inches, while it measures 38 inches flat in the waist with stretch to 40. It closes with a side zip, and the skirt is 27.5 inches long.

The Korinna-Minty dress comes in sizes XS-5XL. Miss Candyfloss ship worldwide but also have stockists across the globe, and are happy to help you track down stockists who carry the item you’re looking for.
