The Perfect Chilly Duo [Collectif + Lulu Hun]
Look, I know here in the UK we’re currently experiencing a heatwave–again–which might make it seem like this autumn-themed post is a poor idea, but I posit the opposite. Picture this; chilly mornings with a slight crunch to the grass, the browning of the trees, the here-again-wonder of that first time you can see your breath when you exhale out of doors, the first time in so long that you’re reminded of your childhood belief that perhaps, just perhaps, you might be a dragon. Acorns. Chestnuts. Rain.
Now, don’t you feel just a bit cooler? No? Okay well at the very least maybe we can agree on wistful? Because that’s what I’m feeling right now, as I pick uncomfortably at the seams of the lightest dress I own which still isn’t quite cool enough. I want autumn and I want it ASAP, not just because I’m fed up of summer but because I want to get back to wearing outfits like this.

Did I want to open this post with a joke about Hamilton? Yes, of course I did. But we don’t have time for such musical shenanigans, because Hell Bunny’s Autumn/Winter line for this season is bursting with incredible pieces and we need to start looking at them immediately! There is almost no time to spare, that’s how much good shiz they’ve got on offer!
Luxuriant Lounging [Fuller Figure Fuller Bust X Playful Promises]
I’ve always thought that you’re either a robe person or you’re not, and I think it largely runs in families. I’ve never been someone who bothers with robes–or at least I wasn’t, until I became a pinup. Suddenly the concept of a robe had so many more possibilities than just those bulky, drab toweling robes that…I don’t know, people presumably put on after showering if they can’t be bothered to dry off immediately?
Now robes could be slinky little numbers thrown over silk slips in the morning while brushing out my pincurls and applying my vintage makeup. They could have billowing bishop sleeves, indescribably soft marabou trim, yards and yards of fabric that swish as you walk, recline, answer the phone to the latest in the long line of suitors desperate for your company. They could be decadent. Since I met with this robe revelation I’ve picked up several of those short slinky numbers perfect for getting ready in, but I’d yet to get my eager hands on any of those truly luxurious options. That is, until now. And my word, once you go Glamour Robe, there’s no going back.

You know how sometimes you see a dress and fall in love with it, but there’s a little niggling thought at the back of your mind that it just won’t work for you? That’s the experience I had with this dress by Alexandra King for Deadly is the Female. Thankfully, wonderfully, blissfully, I was wrong–and now I have a new favourite that will fit me not just any day of the week or month, but even if I drop a few dress sizes–yes, a few dress sizes, you read that right. How?? Let’s take a closer look at this unique piece.
