The Tessa dress isn’t a new style for Dolly & Dotty, who first released it in black several months back, which is when I first fell for her. A simple and chic swing dress with a cut-out lace neckline and sleeves? Come on now, you know how I love overlays and mixed texture design details! This dress is all about that.
Now Tessa is here in some new colour options and it’s time to go green for spring!
It’s time, folks, to find out which lucky lovely won their very own Vendula London D.A.Y Bag. The winner will be able to choose exactly what their D.A.Y bag looks like and says on it, similar to the design I dreamed up myself below:
In case you missed it, I reviewed one of Vendula’s cutest new releases from their new Spring/Summer line a couple weeks back, the Birdhouse Backpack. Today, though, I’m not here to review another piece, but instead to offer you the chance to win one of your own! Vendula London have kindly partnered with me to bring you this Valentine’s Giveaway with a chance to win one of their D.A.Y. bags. What’s a D.A.Y bag? Well, to a point, anything you want it to be!
D.A.Y stands for Design your Accessory Yourself, it’s the chance to customise your own Vendula store front design in a Box bag or Grab bag. You choose the bag shape, the type of storefront, the personalised text, and every part of the colour scheme, right down to the zip colour and shoulder straps. I put together an example of an adorable Box Bag I customised myself using the D.A.Y design feature below to give you an idea of how it works.

Zoe Vine is known for her simple, classic dresses, whether that’s flared or swing. This season’s new line is a continuation of that chic theme, with new velvet and lurex items on offer that are perfect for the winter party season, as well as their first full length gown. For me, though, lover of jewel tones as I am, it’s all about the Isla dress, a rich jewel green flared style that puts me in mind of the elegance, modesty and simplicity of the 1940s.

This time last year, an Instagram addict and new to having around 2000 followers, I was regularly receiving questions and pleas for tips on pinup hair, makeup and clothing fit from ladies new to the style or simply in need of a bit of help. I was a fairly new pinup myself–still am, relatively, having begun transitioning to this style in early 2013–so I didn’t feel like I had much I could offer, except maybe advice from that angle of adjusting and learning myself. When I asked on Instagram whether any ladies would be interested in seeing me start a blog I was astounded by the number and enthusiasm of the ‘YES!’s I received. So it was settled. I began. I’ve wanted to try the Malco Modes petticoats for a long time, since seeing pictures of what appeared to be the fluffiest looking petticoats I’ve ever seen. Finally I’ve got my hot little hands on a Jennifer petticoat, thanks to the lovely team over at Malco Modes, and my goodness, this petticoat is my new favourite thing. Continue reading →
