It’s been a long time since I’ve owned a dress and bolero set, and my god, I didn’t realise how much I’d missed it! Hark, let us wait no longer, behold!

I love it when a brand has one or more staple dress styles that they release each season in new colours and prints. It’s great when you find a dress that ticks all your boxes, anyway, but knowing that you’re able to grab that dress in other colourways allows you to expand your wardrobe for different occasions safe in the knowledge that you’re going to feel really comfortable in them all. Dolly & Dotty constantly release their staple dress shapes in tons of new prints and I love how varied their winter selection is in this Amanda dress.

The moment I saw this dress I fell a little bit in love. It’s not unusual for me to admire a floral print, nor embroidery, but it’s not often we’re treated to repro dresses featuring the two. Even when we are, it’s not a guarantee I’ll like the specific embroidery design itself, or perhaps the colour scheme, or the dress cut. Thus, when I find one I like I get a little bit excited. This Dolly & Dotty dress offers up both simplicity and contrast, in colours and a dress shape that are easy for anyone to wear.

That’s right, it’s time! Let’s find out which 3 lucky lovelies have won a Dolly & Dotty soft nylon petticoat of their choice…

I remember one of things that made me feel like a ‘proper pinup’ when I was transitioning to my vintage style was finally beginning to add a petticoat under my skirts and dresses. It was something that felt like it needed a small splash of courage because it was just such an unusual under-thing to have in one’s wardrobe as a 20-something in the 2010s, but once I got my first petticoat there was no looking back. Let’s not waste words here, if you’re checking this post then you know I hosted a giveaway this week for one lucky lovely to win a Dolly & Dotty dress of their choice. And the randomly selected winner is…
Considering how much I love a bit of velvet in the colder seasons, you’d think I’d own a classic velvet Audrey-style swing dress. Somehow, I don’t. Or, I suppose, didn’t, because here comes Dolly & Dotty, ready to fulfill my velvet festive dreams, and in my favourite colour no less.

Last Monday I posted a review of Dolly & Dotty’s Tessa dress with you all, a review that happily served double duty launching a giveaway to win a Dolly & Dotty dress of your choice! Well, lovelies, the giveaway ended last night and now it’s time. Let’s find out who the winner is!
The Tessa dress isn’t a new style for Dolly & Dotty, who first released it in black several months back, which is when I first fell for her. A simple and chic swing dress with a cut-out lace neckline and sleeves? Come on now, you know how I love overlays and mixed texture design details! This dress is all about that.
Now Tessa is here in some new colour options and it’s time to go green for spring!
Do you ever find that, out of nowhere, you unexpectedly become a bit obsessed with a certain colour, print or motif that never much moved you before? That’s me right now with red rose prints. I don’t know how or why my love for them appeared so suddenly, but it’s here nonetheless and so is my need to have a dozen rose themed items in my wardrobe, you know, because I can’t do anything by halves. Lucky me, then, that this Annie dress from Dolly & Dotty arrived at this most serendipitous time.
