It is I, Amy, here to bring you (hopefully) joy with some embarrassing pictures and very awkward faces. You must know how these blooper posts go by now, so let’s waste no more time and have at it!
I always leave it way too long between blooper sets, often because I’m too backed up with collaborations, but also because they take so much longer to do than I think they do, so they’re not the easy-to-schedule posts that I like to tell myself they are. As a result, I have literally hundreds of bloopers stored up that I can share with you, so in this downtime between the end of the summer and before the AW18 season begins to really ramp up, I gift you now with another installment of me looking stupid and messing up shots. It’s time again. Time to look behind the painted glass at what it really looks like for a vintage blogger to get her weekly outfit photos. From battling wind and rain to the frustrations of passing traffic and the general public walking in and out of shot (how dare they!), there’s a lot of ways a blogshoot to go wrong…and that’s without taking into account my face. Oh, my poor face. Let’s laugh at it.
I probably put about 5-10 hours of work per week into the blog. Prepping for and shooting outfits, selecting and editing the photos, drafting and tweaking each post’s text to try and make it as informative and digestible as possible so that you lovely readers can maybe shop a little easier, get a touch of inspiration, and feel better knowing what products shape up to be the best investments for your money. So you can imagine how thrilled I am that I am universally assured that everyone’s favourite posts are these blooper posts, the ones where the facade cracks and you can see, without a shadow of a doubt, what a clumsy, silly goofball I really am. Ha! No faux-perfection here, this is a country girl who fell into blogging almost by accident and is just bumbling her way through as best she can. These pictures make that painfully clear.
